Animal Kingdom: Tiger

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.38 m (11.1 ft) over curves and weighing up to 388.7 kg (857 lb) in the wild. Its most recognisable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside. The species is classified in the genus panthera with the lion, leopard, jaguar and snow leopard. Tigers are apex predators, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and bovids. They are territorial and generally solitary but social animals, often requiring large contiguous areas of habitat that support their prey requirements. This, coupled with the fact that they are indigenous to some of the more densely populated places on Earth, has caused significant conflicts with humans.

Tigers once ranged widely across Asia, from Turkey in the west to the eastern coast of Russia. Over the past 100 years, they have lost 93% of their historic range, and have been extirpated from southwest and central Asia, from the islands of Java and Bali, and from large areas of Southeast and Eastern Asia. Today, they range from the Siberian taiga to open grasslands and tropical mangrove swamps. The remaining six tiger subspecies have been classified as endangered by IUCN. The global population in the wild is estimated to number between 3,062 and 3,948 individuals, down from around 100,000 at the start of the 20th century, with most remaining populations occurring in small pockets isolated from each other, of which about 2,000 exist on the Indian subcontinent.[4] Major reasons for population decline include habitat destruction, habitat fragmentation and poaching. The extent of area occupied by tigers is estimated at less than 1,184,911 km2 (457,497 sq mi), a 41% decline from the area estimated in the mid-1990s.
Tigers are among the most recognisable and popular of the world's charismatic megafauna. They have featured prominently in ancient mythology and folklore, and continue to be depicted in modern films and literature. They appear on many flags, coats of arms, and as mascots for sporting teams. The tiger is the national animal of Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Malaysia and South Korea.

Dewa Athena

Dewa athena is an annual event that held at SMAN 3 Bandung, it is a sport competition. the participants is SMAN 3 Bandung students, it is a class match, The class which join the game is 10th class and 11th class. i was sign up for basketball and badminton but unfortunately im sick and i cant came so my friend replace me, but we lose, its okay. but next year, my class should win.

The Beatles - Yesterday

This song, composed entirely by Paul McCartney came to him literally in a dream. He awoke one night whilst staying in a London attic for the filming of the Help! movie with the entire melody and structure stuck in his head.
I got out of bed, sat at the piano, found G, found F sharp minor 7th — and that leads you through then to B to E minor, and finally back to E. It all leads forward logically. I liked the melody a lot, but because I’d dreamed it, I couldn’t believe I’d written it. I thought, ‘No, I’ve never written anything like this before.’ But I had the tune, which was the most magic thing!
McCartney would later write “Yellow Submarine” in bed, and John Lenon would also stumble upon “Nowhere man” and "Across the universe” in dreams. McCartney would later observe:
When you’re trying to write a song, there are certain times when you get the essence, it’s all there.its like an egg being laid
— not a crack or a flaw in it.

[Verse 1]
Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away

Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

[Verse 2]
Suddenly
I'm not half the man I used to be

There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly
[Verse 3]
Why she had to go
I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong
Now I long for yesterday
[Verse 4] Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Culinary: Sushi

hi this time i want to post a blog about my favorite food, i have so many favorite foods but i choose Sushi this time. It seems like every time I have good sushi, I just want it more and more. My curiosity about these delectable little morsels of raw seafood got the best of me this past weekend,

Sushi is a Japanese food consisting of cooked vinegared rice combined with other ingredients , seafood, vegetables and sometimes tropical fruits. Ingredients and forms of sushi presentation vary widely, but the ingredient which all sushi have in common is rice (also referred to as shari ) or sumeshi ).
Sushi can be prepared with either brown or white rice. Sushi is often prepared with raw seafood, but some common varieties of sushi use cooked ingredients or are vegetarian. Raw fish (or occasionally other meat) sliced and served without rice is called "sashimi".
Sushi is often served with gari (ginger), wasabi, and soy sauce. Popular garnishes are often made using daikon.

  •  Nigiri Sushi: Nigiri sushi is a type of Japanese dish made with sushi rice and fresh fish. The sushi rice is hand formed into a small clump, and the fish is sliced and pressed on top of it. In some cases, nigiri sushi uses a small strip of toasted seaweed called nori to bind the whole mixture together, although this is not obligatory. Nigiri sushi is commonly found in sushi restaurants which have a reliable supply of high quality raw fish and well trained cooks.
  • Maguro Nigiri  A lean cut of tuna. This is the inexpensive variety of tuna. When it comes to tuna, fatty cuts are more expensive.
  •  California Roll: One of the rare types of Western sushi that's popular in Japan. A roll made of cucumber, imitation crab, and avocado.
  • HOW TO MAKE NIGIRI SUSHI

    ."Shape the rice"

With your hand wet, grab about 20 grams of shari rice, and shape it to a long, oval from. The rice is going to be the base for the fish to lay on, so the bottom should be flat, and the top could be more rounded. The sides should definitely be a bit rounded.

    "Cut a Slice"

As already mentioned, nigiri sushi topping can vary, but the basic form is "plain" salmon nigiri. So if it is salmon or tuna fish nigiri sushi you are making, the following measurements should be just fine.
Take a slice of fish, about 1 cm thick, 5 cm long and 3 cm wide. If the piece of fish you are cutting from is smaller, and does not allow you to cut such a slice, try slicing it at 45 degrees, it will allow you maximum "fish surface".
Take a pea-sized portion of wasabi, and smear it along the middle of the fish slice. The wasabi will help the slice glue to the piece of rice, to form a steady nigiri sushi.

    . "Sushitrons - form a nigiri sushi!"

Now it's time to place the slice of fish, with the wasabi side facing down, on the rice. Lay it gently on the rice, and then press it firmly to stick with the rice. You might want to use the other hand to hold the nigiri sushi from the sides while pressing it from above, to avoid "rice loss".

Natural Phenomena: Aurora

Aurora (Latin word aurora, "sunrise" or the Roman goddess of dawn), is a natural light display in the sky. predominantly seen in the high latitude (Arctic and Antarctic) regions. Auroras are caused by charged particles, mainly electrons and protons, entering the atmosphere from above causing ionisation and excitation of atmospheric constituents, and consequent optical emissions. Incident protons can also produce emissions as hydrogen atoms after gaining an electron from the atmosphere.
The dancing lights of the aurora provide spectacular views on the ground, but also capture the imagination of scientists who study incoming energy and particles from the sun. Aurora are one effect of such energetic particles, which can speed out from the sun both in a steady stream called the solar wind and due to giant eruptions known as coronal mass ejections or CMEs. After a trip toward Earth that can last two to three days, the solar particles and magnetic fields cause the release of particles already trapped near Earth, which in turn trigger reactions in the upper atmosphere in which oxygen and nitrogen molecules release photons of light. The result: the Northern and Southern lights.
NASA's suite of heliophysics spacecraft track how events on the sun affect near-Earth space, including several missions dedicated to aurora studies. Auroras are but one symptom of a larger space weather system in which solar material and radiation can affect Earth's own magnetic environment and block radio communications, disturb onboard satellite computers, or -- at their worst -- cause electrical surges in power grids.

  • Red: At the highest altitudes, excited atomic oxygen emits at 630.0 nm (red); low concentration of atoms and lower sensitivity of eyes at this wavelength make this colour visible only under more intense solar activity. The low amount of oxygen atoms and their gradually diminishing concentration is responsible for the faint appearance of the top parts of the "curtains".
  • Green: At lower altitudes the more frequent collisions suppress this mode and the 557.7 nm emission (green) dominates; fairly high concentration of atomic oxygen and higher eye sensitivity in green make green auroras the most common. The excited molecular nitrogen (atomic nitrogen being rare due to high stability of the N2 molecule) plays its role here as well, as it can transfer energy by collision to an oxygen atom, which then radiates it away at the green wavelength. (Red and green can also mix together to produce pink or yellow hues.) The rapid decrease of concentration of atomic oxygen below about 100 km is responsible for the abrupt-looking end of the lower edges of the curtains.
  • Yellow and pink are a mix of red and green or blue.
  • Blue: At yet lower altitudes atomic oxygen is, uncommon, and ionized molecular nitrogen takes over in producing visible light emission; it radiates at a large number of wavelengths in both red and blue parts of the spectrum, with 428 nm (blue) being dominant. Blue and purple emissions, typically at the lower edges of the "curtains", show up at the highest levels of solar activity.

lower edges of the "curtains", show up at the highest levels of solar activity.

worst holiday ever

Its been 6 months I studied in SMAN 3 Bandung, and the exam week has passed, and holiday is coming. But this holiday my family wasn’t complete. My mom wasn’t here, she went to Germany to visit her family until January.
A month before holiday my dad was planning a trip for us to go to Singapore by ship, he is very exited about this but unfortunately he got dengue diseases and he is been hospitalized so we cancel the trip. Because my mom wasn’t here, grandma pick us up to her home and we stayed at granma’s until dad go home.
And then I got fever for 2 weeks it feels horrible, my tongue can’t tasted any food and I lose my appetite and no one visited me, including my boyfriend, he is not visiting me at all but he gave me a flower. And its hard to communicating my Mom, its hard to tell my mom about the situation, because theres wifi is rare and the difference of the time.
And then I broke up with my boyfriend, I don’t even know why we broke up but it makes me down. And I lose my weight, I lose about 15 kg. and i fight with my bestfriend because something and the problem is getting bigger
, I feels so lonely, it feels like I have no one to talk to, I’m very sad, I cry a lot, and I lose so many weight because im stressed. and others problem showed up.
Then I go to Jakarta by myself to visited my uncle and that cheers me a little bit. I feel paralyzed, I don’t want to go back to Bandung because im not comfortable anymore, and I started looking for new school at Jakarta I think its better if I move here and meet new people. But my dad doesn't agree about that. So I go back to Bandung. and i think my relation with my friends are getting better we play together again. and my dad now already fit alhamdulillah.

My dreams, my future, my goal

I`m sure that everyone of us has dreams, and more often they are quite unreal, like, I want a million dollars, or a sport car, or I want that my husband will be a prince on a white horse. people dream about their future. I have dreams for the future just like everyone else. Dreams of the good life, with lots of money, a smart and loyal husband, fancy beach-house and fast cars! And I will do whatever it takes to achieve it. Study is my
first step to achieve my dream. Currently I am a student in high school.I do my best to keep my grades up, because I know that they will help me into college. I dream of going to ITB in design or architect until i got S1, then i continue my study to New York (fashion center of the world) then i became a famous designer or became an architect , i will collaborated with Christian Loubotin, Ralph Lauren, Donatella Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Coco Chanel. or build a world's unique buildings. Amin . Outside of my job, I plan to buy a large home. I dream of settling down in an beach area, maybe Hawaii.i will have a large fancy house witch designed by me, and every morning i woke up i saw a beautiful beach from my room, and i watch beautiful sunset every afternoon after a tiring day. i will have a success husband and can start a family. I dream of having a son to carry on the family name. and 2 others daugthers. As you can see, I have big plans for my future. I plan to make something of myself, and not to give up. I have a major fear of failure, and I wont t let it get to me. My parents expect a lot out of me, i want to make my parent proud of me and I think I have done a good job so far. My dreams are what keep me going; they are an object for me to strive for. I will obtain that object one day.
